The Selkirks in southeast BC are distinct from the Rockies but I lost track. Which puts Glacier Berthillon, Salt and Straw, your very own special Roman gelateria, etc. to shame. A ferris wheel may terrify Horace, but gondolas are A-OK, eh? This year's family holiday picture won't be coming from Lake Louise.

The Maldives this was not. Think instead of giant dead jellyfish and squishy sand dotted with ghost shrimp burrows. And a ten-minute sprint to the port-a-potty on the ferry dock.
