Horden Snow Scenes 1. Horden Snow Scenes 2. Horden Snow Scenes 3. Denemouth can be reached from the coastal footpath or from the coast road. It is also a pleasant area for a walk or a picnic. Entrance from the coast road. Footpath leading to the viaduct, meadow and coastal footpath. Viaduct, the Hartlepool to Sunderland rail service runs along here. This meadow lies between the viaduct and the coastal footpath. It is an excellent picnic area. Viaduct from the meadow.

Horden Snow Scenes 1. Horden Snow Scenes 2. Horden Snow Scenes 3. This is a smaller but equally pleasant park. It is where the remembrance day service is held at the memorial clock. This park has also been improved recently. New gates and a wall have been built and the derelict toilet block demolished and a new building has been built in it's place to store the gardening equipment for the park. New flowerbeds have also been made making this park a pleasure to visit.

The bandstand has been restored to its former glory and regularly hosts brass band concerts on Sunday afternoons. This area of the park also has childrens play areas and picnic benches. A couple of photos of the restored bandstand. One of the many seats in the park. Each seat has a small information plaque giving details of Horden's history, as shown above. Picnic area with benches.

Horden Railway Station

The queen stopped here in 1960 as part of her visit to the North East. The above photo shows the former station site. It was closed in 1964 in Dr. Beechings cutbacks. The above photo shows the railway cottages. These are now privatly owned. This bridge is just south of the station site. Cotsford Grange Farm can be seen in the distance.
