There is a change to the published programme for May 11th 2016 - the Deanery Quiz is now taking place at the Church of the Good Shepherd on this date so the games evening is being postponed to a later date. Congratulations to the Decibell Handbell Ringers who are celebrating 25 years in January 2016. They first formed the team in January 1991 and were then called the Horfield Young Families Handbell Ringers. The name was later changed to the Decibells.

July 15, 2016. On Wednesday evening we were pleased to welcome Father Patrick again to chair our AGM. Three members are leaving. This year:- Julie, Kate and Carolyn. Ann presented Kate and Carolyn with flowers to show our appreciation for their commitment to the group over many years I’m sure they will be back on the committee again in the not too distant future! Over the years we have raised money for several charities including 1000 for the Great Western Air Ambulance in 2009. We also feel privileged to have a leaf on the Tree of Life at Ronald Macdonald House in Kingsdown in recognition of the support we have given them in the form of a hamper each Christmas. We have a Christmas shopping coach trip every November and have visited various destinations including Worcester, Winchester, Salisbury and Exeter. In recent years we have also had three summer trips.
