アメリカ　～オーバリン～]. ここOhio（オハイオ）州のOberlin（オーバリン）は、小さなカレッジタウン。義父も大学の地学部で教授をしている。日本では知られていない町かと思いきや、なんでもここの大学の日本人卒業生がここの質の高いLiberal Artsの教育を日本でも実現しようと設立したのが、桜美林大学。名前が似てるでしょ？さて、世界一周の間にこうやって実家でのんびりできる機会があるのは、国際結婚の嬉しいオマケ。あんまり「旅」という感じではないけど、折角なので、旦那の実家をここで紹介。オハイオ州は、アメリカのコーンベルトにあり、五大湖の一つ、エリー湖に面している（対岸はカナダ。湖がでかくてオハイオから見えないけど。）. オーバリンは、典型的なMidwest(アメリカ中西部)のカレッジタウンで、ダウンタウンは2ブロック程、あとは至る所に学生がのんびり歩いていて、緑溢れる町。ここで、ダウンタウンを離れて、これぞ田舎って感じの風景を紹介。ジョーの家の裏を通っているBike path(自転車道)を自転車で10分ほど行って町を出ると、すぐコーン畑が広がっている。アメリカに入って、...
