Sunday, February 26, 2012. The second day of Thaipusam is even more spectacular than the first! On Day 2, Lord Murugan has already made his journey to the Hindu temple near the waterfall on Penang Hill. Now, devotees carry burdens and offerings to Lord Murugan to ask for blessings. Here is Jennifer and Craig standing next to three worshippers on their way to the temple. These fruits are attached to their skin by tiny hooks! The Indians living in Malaysia love to share their culture, and one way to experi...

Monday, March 19, 2012. My Mom's Penang Transformation. My mom visited Penang about one year ago. In the spirit of catching up on posts that we missed, I'm writing about her visit this week. We had a great time exploring Penang, shopping in Bangkok, and touring Singapore. And here she is after, wearing her brightly colored pants and her white kurtis with hand-embroidered flowers on it, ready to enjoy Penang hawker food! After the fish reflexology, you have to go for some real refelexology at Alpha Foot S...

Sunday, May 27, 2012. Chillin' Out in Koh Phi Phi. If you've read a lot of our blog, you've probably noticed that we spend a lot of our travel time learning about new cultures and local customs. Our latest trip was an exception. Jennifer found us a beautiful beach and we stayed there, soaking up the sun and eating Thai food! It was our first trip to Thailand without seeing a single Wat! We stayed in a hut on stilts with a grass roof and modern amenities. Craig loved it! We took a longtail boat into Ton S...

Wednesday, February 20, 2013. It hardly seems like yesterday that we flew our little newborn baby boy Craig from Indiana to Utah to have him blessed near his family. Now, eight years later, the little guy is old enough to be baptized! Craig was excited to have all of his grandparents in Folsom for his baptism. The Sacramento Temple is on the same property as the chapel Craig was baptized in, so we took advantage of the opportunity to get a family picture in front of it. Can you see them or hear them?

We're all in diapers now. Monday, December 22, 2008. Well, seems as if there was a rift in the space-time continuum, leading to a huge gap in our updates on this thing. Sorry! Thanksgiving jump started our celebrations, as Erika's parents drove up from California and joined us and Erika's sister/brother-in-law (the newlyweds) for a nice dinner.
