But my horses seemed rather incident free, all things considered. Other than the time Smokey got his foot stuck in the feed bag in the trailer (served him right for pawing, not that he stopped), our horses have stayed pretty content in stalls and pastures. Did you know there was a door here? Horses really won't back up on their own?

Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Dani and I had a nice short ride last night, our coldest yet. The barn was spangled with icicles and lights. I found her cozied up in her blanket - I have never met a horse that lets you love on them so much when they are laying down. We had to give a trial saddle a final spin, and I have decided to purchase it - an older Albion K2 Legend. It seems to fit her nicely and puts me in a good position. It's all about the horse. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. It is official.she's mine. Meet Leo's Midnight Shelby. A 2002 APHA mare, finished cow horse. Summer is officially retired from sorting. When I told her, I think she smiled. It was weird. : ). I wrote about that Sunday in my last blog about how well we did at practice. Then I used her for our lesson that next Saturday and we did very well. Any screw up was complete rider error. Saturday, show time. I then stayed until the final class. 6 sort with Robin.
