Trish Hyatt, The Horse Maker: February 2011
http://horsemaker.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Trish Hyatt, The Horse Maker. Friday, February 25, 2011. Snip was a little fussier with his mouth, trying to figure out whether his tongue should go over or under it. Trish Hyatt, The Horse Maker. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Boomer Gets A Rude Awakening. Next I asked him to keep his shoulders up when he cantered while staying soft in the neck and giving his face while still cantering. In the beginning he'd only hold it for a stride but as we practiced he gave sooner and lasted longer. Al Dunning says make 1% improvement and after 100 days you have 100% improvement. We definitely made more than 1%. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Boomer Gets A Rude Awakening.

Trish Hyatt, The Horse Maker: Arizona Day 4
http://horsemaker.blogspot.com/2011/04/arizona-day-4.html
Trish Hyatt, The Horse Maker. Thursday, April 14, 2011. I got to ride Lucky again today and he was a lot more supple to the left. I worked on some straight lope departures and sidepassing at the canter, then straight, then stay on the same circle, occasionally I asked for a lead change, they were good and he stayed slow and elevated. Some times I changed to a new circle and sometimes counter cantered. Bridle Change on Taz. Al Dunning and I. TS Pictures by Tabitha Smith. And see they do have mountains.
