That first year, I was planting baby nectarine trees and feeding bummer lambs while No. 1 son napped. We only had television reception on calm days (the wind blew our antenna around) so my dad used to ship me VCR tapes of Sesame Street (all the way from Denver! So I had something to keep the boy entertained for a little while on windy days. No 1 Son in 1992.

It has stood the test of time for 27 years and is still one of our favorites, especially in the winter. 2 cans home style Veg All (drained). 1 can cream of celery soup. 1 cup self-rising flour. 1 can pearl onions (optional). 2 hard boiled eggs (optional).
