Becoming a Mercy Hospice Shop Volunteer. Mercy Hospice Auckland's seven retail shops are staffed with the support of a huge team of skilled and dedicated volunteers. Volunteers work three-hour shifts either weekly or fortnightly: 10am-1pm or 1-4pm. Our shops are open Monday-Saturday from 10am-4pm. Volunteers are fully trained for their roles in each of our shops.
