Saturday, July 11, 2009. Working at a camp is one of the best and worst experiences in life. Or, at least in my life so far. First of all, I love camp! It's so much fun playing games and being absolutely goofy and screaming at the top of my lungs. I love my fellow counselors and I love my campers! I'm getting to play games, teach, and tell kids all about God's love all at the same time, and. Sometimes it almost seems wrong to be paid to have such an awesome experience. NOT Julie & Julia: July 2010
http://nanamintercooks.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. So, for many years now, my mom has treated us to her delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Cakes. I was surprised and thrilled when she decided to put her recipe in Rebecca's book. How nice of her to share! So, how does this pertain to my mom's peanut butter cakes? When Shannon attempted to make them, she was waaay short on the chocolate. Ooops! Someone must have made a mistake in the recipe. Perhaps it should have said '2 large Hershey bars? WHO'S THE NUTCASE NOW, RAY? Cooked (once o...

Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Music: The universal language.well, that and sports. I believe that music is one of God's greatest gifts to His creation. I mean, really, where would we be without music? No shawty fire burnin' on the dance floor. Ok, so maybe the world wouldn't be too bad without some of those things. Although I understand that certain types of music aren't for everyone, I don't think I will ever understand people who limit themselves to one type of music, or one artist or band. I know th...

At Ease: March 2012
http://aliciaatease.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 22, 2012. This morning, as the kids were getting their shoes on for school, I asked Gabbi if she needed to go potty before we left. "No," she said. "I already went upstairs after I woke up. And guess what, mom - we were out of toilet paper up there, so I just pulled some out of the garbage can and wiped myself with that. Wasn't that clever? Sigh It looks like I need to teach a little less about resourcefulness and a little more about hygiene. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, March 25, 2009. A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words.Right? Or many people, communication can be stressful. For an introverted person, conversation can seem intrusive or simply exhausting. For an insecure person, conversations lead to worry and paranoia. For the average person, talking to a stranger tends to be at least a little awkward. So much in my life! It didn't take me long to learn that words are completely useless if the other person does not speak my language. No He's break dancing!

Well, I went to the beach a few days ago with my nieces and spent the first few minutes acting like an adult and trying to keep. My feet in the sand. Then I saw this:. Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
