My Little Blog: August 2011
http://deb-peterson.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. We seem to have quite a few nicknames for both of our kids. They are so funny to me. Sometimes I catch myself saying one of them and thinking.why do I do this? ButI love them all just the same. Here are some of the ones we use for Michael! Mr Mike (usually said with a "Mr. T" accent). Bubba (Will hates this one). Stinky Bean (not pretty.I know). Lizzie has been so excited to start school that she could hardly wait! Playing before school started. Thursday, August 18, 2011.

He has learned so much in one year and changed so much too. I still cant believe sometimes how lucky and blessed we are to have him. He is such a joy! Sometimes I wish I could stop time and freeze both of our kids where they are now. Some of the things I want to always remember about where he is right now are:. How much I love and adore him!

Friday, May 27, 2011. Mike turned 8 months yesterday and two days ago, we found his first tooth! Thursday, May 26, 2011. We love sunny beach vacations! Last week we went to Florida to get out of the rain and enjoy some warm weather and sunshine! Florida did not disappoint :) This was our first real trip with 2 kids. We have taken a few short overnighters, but not on a plane and for a week. It harder, but a lot of fun! A little different dynamic than before with just Lizzie, but it was still tons of fun!

Monday, September 3, 2012. So we packed up, and headed out with the plan to just see how far we could get. As we started hiking, it began to sprinkle. We both looked at each other with that.hmmmmm.look, but kept going. A little further in and it started to pour! After the tent was set up, the clouds had blown over and the sun was shining through! It may be a great night after all, we thought. We made ourselves some breakfast burritos (with a freeze dried bag of eggs, etc.actually pretty good! We may actu...

Thursday, December 15, 2011. Gingerbread Houses and the Tree Hunt. Andit smells like Christmas! Wednesday, December 14, 2011. My ramblings about the holidays. She is getting really excited for Christmas and I am trying to help her feel the magic of Christmas without forgetting that it is also about our Savior and service and family and giving. It should be easy.but has felt pretty tricky to me. I love this season! When we got to her house on Christmas Eve, we would immediately run to her tree to see the ...

Friday, February 25, 2011. Notelong story for my own records. Read at own risk.*. I spent most of the nights watching Mike breathe and counting breaths. Panicking. Watching his chest rise and fall. Worrying. Listening to his little breath wheeze. More panicking.you get the idea. Will and my Dad gave Mike a blessing.it was sweet. I felt so grateful at that time for family and the constant support they are in our times of need. All I could think was, "Where did we pick up all this crap? To avoid all this?

Friday, September 14, 2012. It has been a long time since I last made bread. This is a ritual that my Mom did each week when I was growing up. I don't remember eating "store bought" bread very often. She was very dedicated and diligent! I am sure that none of us appreciated, at that time, the effort she made to do everything in her power to keep us healthy. AndI like to do it too:). ButI had made bread! It is kind of caveman like.although my conventional oven is a nice update :). Anyway.this rant is ...
