Jul 5, 2014. In the first of a two part series, I’ll be posting what I’ve been up to in Stockholm. My first lodging, a hostel/hotel in Skanstull. The entire hostel is underground, and my room did not come with a clock. It felt like a casino. Have I been down here an hour? Despite this fact, it was one of the nicer hostel/hotels I’ve stayed at. Unfortunately, I apparently didn’t take any pictures with my good camera, so I don’t have any to share here so here is a picture of Stockholm.

Jun 24, 2014. It’s my final day in Iceland. What better way to start your day than an early lunch enjoying some Icelandic classic dishes. Roasted lamb on rye. Mashed fish on rye. Smoked trout on rye. Dired fish-jerky with butter. Wait, what was that last one? I began by tasting everything else on my plate before venturing to the Hákarl (center of the plate pictured). Everything was very good; would the Hákarl allow me to re-taste all those flavors at once as they all came back up? Welcome to HotDo.gs.

As I usually do for my first day in a city, I spent today wandering around with little more than an idea for places to see. Just let the city take me where it wants. Jun 28, 2014. Moving from Denmark to Sweden, my first stop is just across the water in Malmö. Upon arriving I tossed my stuff at my hotel; the excellent Master Johan Hotel. I set out to take a few photos, but gray skies and hazy conditions limited what I was able to produce. Heute haben wir einen wunderschönen 2 stündigen Ausritt mit Katrin und Babe unternommen. Das Wetter passte, Hund und Pferd haben sich sehr gut benommen! Katrin hat mir auch den nötigen Tritt in den Allerwertesten gegeben, und so habe ich mich getraut eine Wiese erst hoch zu traben und dann sogar zu galoppieren.
