A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 03 June, 2013. LJG's Gluten-Free ChiaFlax Bread. For all of those who suffer from a gluten intolerance or allergy, it can be incredibly difficult to find a loaf of gluten-free bread that doesn't taste like cardboard and doesn't cost $7 or more in the shop! So after months of trial and error, with input from friends and loved ones, here is a recipe that seems to turn out tasty each and every time and has only healthy, simple ingredients. Add olive oi...

A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 01 July, 2014. How to Take a Bucket Bath. Now, I know this is probably different for everyone and there is no right or wrong way of doing it, but I thought I'd write a little bit about what I've been taught about bucket baths because maybe it is useful or interesting and it isn't something that's talked about much! Sponge and mini-bucket of local soap with water added to it. If you are lucky enough to have a lime tree (citrus, not tilia spp.) in...

A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home): April 2015
http://lydia-goes-abroad.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 12 April, 2015. Back in February I was given 11 little corn plants from the farmers' market along with some beautiful little dwarf green beans. I planted these in an alternating zig-zag pattern in a spot that I realized only afterwards was not quite as sunny as I'd hoped, but all of the corn survived and only one of the beans didn't, so I think they're doing all right! 15 February, 2015. A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 24 February, 2014. You will be better. Dear friends, I know it has been a while. I'm sorry - I got ill. But fear not, I am (mostly) better now. I've been seen by a doctor (that is a story deserving about three blog posts of its own). And I am back at home in Logba now, resting and doing everything I'm told to fully recover. In case you're curious, here is the officially compiled list, as has been explained to me, of:. Reasons Why Lydia Got Ill.

A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 19 February, 2015. A brief update to the highly exciting development of the okra story: the little fruit is developing nicely! Though it looks as if aphids are perhaps settling into the future flower buds - I saw a beautiful yellow spotty ladybug on my kumquat tree this morning and encouraged it to stay! Okra, immature fruit. Photo by Lydia Green. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am currently in Australia writing up my PhD post-fieldwork.

A Chronicle of Lydia's Adventures (Abroad and At Home). 29 December, 2012. With all my stuff rattling around loose in my rucksack I decided I needed a zippered pouch to keep some knick-knacks in while traveling. A friend invited me to go to a fabric/craft shop with her to buy googly eyes, and seeing a shelf of discount fabric scraps I was inspired to make one myself. About how to make a lined zippered pouch, and this one. Finished zippered pouch with mechanical pencil for size comparison. On my way out.
