If you see the movie, you can see that we moved the Barber's chair from one side of the room to the other and down stage . it took 3 seconds. This strategy to developing a set is invaluable. DO IT. Require that your set company provide this and also take lots of pics with props in different locations, with and without people and even different lighting - overhead, from stage right or left and straight on. Who Needs It" for three weeks straight, 12-18 hour days that started at noon, in 100 degree heat, with a crazy amount of pages per day to get done. Many times Fred was locked in meetings while I was on set doing my thing. Through production assistants, his personal assitants, crew members and of course the Second AD, we kept tabs on our star.
