I was born in Oklahoma City and grew up in Overland Park and Olathe, Kansas. I’ve lived in Austin for well, never mind how long. We non-natives say things like, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could.” Then we snort. Seriously, I grew up in a semi-rural suburb of Kansas City, which means that a massive mall was less than twenty minutes away but I could have a horse. My brother had a chicken. Both of us agree his was the better pet, but that’s another story. Mystery Writers of America.

Suspense and Mystery Writer. The Heart of Texas chapter of Sisters in Crime. And an administrative assistant at Writer Unboxed. And a moderator for its Facebook group. My short story, “Rota Fortunae”, appears in the anthology, Murder on Wheels. And I’m currently working on my debut novel, Gilt Ridden. When I’m not writing, reading, or taking care of my family, I’m either singing with my church choir, playing percussion in community band, or learning new instruments.
