Bessie visited the village of her sponsors Bill and Alison Lax this evening and provided them with an unexpected hour of pleasure in the early evening sunshine. I had scheduled it in and Clare has taken the kids out to meet one of her friends, but I can feel a pull – a force dragging me away from work and back to the the tv or the books or the dreams of what could be.
