Laquo; i do love oregon. 2011 Winter Solstice ». Swimming in the river. I absolutely love swimming in the river and in the summertime when its hot, getting to the river is my main goal for the day. Here in Portland my favorite river to go to is the Sandy River. Its a tributary of the Columbia River. Odin loves playing with rocks and throwing them in the water. We moved to Portland in the fall of 2008 and lived in the same house for 3 years. we left at the end of the summer and here are some pictures of our backyard that we grew to love. this past year we didnt garden as much as we had in the past, we had our hands full with our new creature. Laquo; Portland summer. Swimming in the river ». I do love oregon. One of my favorite things to do here is go berry picking. Last week we went up to Sauvie Island and visited a lavendar farm and a berry farm. I learned that on the east coast they cant grow lavendar, it made me feel so good about living here, bc i love lavendar and i cant believe i used to live in a place where it didnt grow. Odin wasnt having fun in the hot sun, but he found relief eating raspberries, while i picked them. January 26, 2012.
