I seem to have a knack for awkward or frustrating questions at times, but if I don't ask then I have no way of knowing. The Chin family started when Chin Yin Ghee met Tan Kim Kee in Jasin, Malacca in the 1960's. Married in 1964, they settled in Malacca town and had their first child, David, in 1968. Two years later, their daughter, Jacqueline, was born into the family. The house where they have called home is still their home today, and the two children will always refer to it as their home.
