House of Composites ApS (called H O C) based near the town called Kolding, in Jutland, Denmark was established in year 2005 by Tim M. Hansen who has a background and degree as auto mechanic and engineer. From day one the focus has been on developing and supplying high quality composite material components mainly in carbon fibre for the motorsport industry. Furthermore the business has been expanded to also cover road going cars from electrical cars to hypercars (also called super sports cars).

HOC have developed several manufacturing processes directed towards the automotive industry. First the AVI (Autoclaved Vacuum Infusion) process was developed as a response to a customer claim that autoclaved prepregs were lighter than resin infused parts. Resin infused carbon fibre parts has a fibre volume fraction (FVF) of around 45-55% and HOC therefore decided to develop a resin infusion manufacturing process with increased FVF.
