Today was such a beautiful day for so many reasons! This past weekend we went to kansas city with our sweet friends. the boys had planned this trip last month as a birthday/valentine's surprise. they did so good! We're hard to surprise! Our friends', taylor and shaylea got married this weekend! We'd been looking forward to their wedding for months. lane was one of taylor's groomsman. since we needed a sitter for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, lane's mom and dad came up to stay with the kids. we were so thankful! We had such a fun weekend! My sister and her husband drove up from dallas and my mom and little sister came up from oklahoma. even though it was a super short visit, we are always so thankful to all be together! I spent friday getting the house ready for company. the boys were begging to help me clean so i sent them to the playroom with a cleaning rag each to "clean". it kept them busy for a solid 30 minutes. i'll have to remember this little trick :). Friday, January 29, 2010. Does he look 35 years old to you? We got to spend all day with the Birthday boy due to the snow and ice outside. Brian took the 3 older kids out to play and shovel snow for a couple of hours while. Hope sat and watched the fire in the fireplace. I made one of Brian's favorite dishes - Beef Taco Bake (yikes, my oven is dirty) . And watched out the window in awe of the beautiful blanket of fresh white snow and sparkling branches covered in ice. I also made some pumpkin muffin.

It was an incredible mixture of productivity, relaxing, hanging out with dear friends, and shopping :). It all started last weekend. I went to NWA with one of my best friends, Sarah. Saturday night we had a wedding to go to of a good college friend and Sunday was Sarah's birthday! The wedding was A BLAST! With Victor, the groom! I got a new dress from Old Navy and a cute dress from TJ Maxx!

Coffee and Cowboy Boots. Get to Know Me! Happy 4th of July! I love this holiday! It's smack dab in the middle of summer (my fave season) and there are so many great things about it:. It's the first time, that I can remember, being in Arkansas and not being at the lake. In college, I was always in Colorado or India for the 4th. The rest of my summers, I am ALWAYS at the lake!
