Beth's SweetKnits: October 2007
http://bethsweetknits.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 11, 2007. Is an organizational tool for individual members and groups, as well as a forum for exchange of information, among other things. It's a huge cross-reference library. It's a meeting of the minds and hands and fibers and colors. Sounds straight forward and innocuous. Account and a new. Why am I in such a rush? In a rush to post my projects and link them to my blog? To link them to my groups? To answer my Ravelry mail? To look at all 219 Log Cabin projects posted thus far? Ever s...

Beth's SweetKnits: March 2008
http://bethsweetknits.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 25, 2008. This is what I am talking about with the intarsia - I suppose it's more aptly called stranded knitting - in the garter stitch of this cotton log cabin. I know now I should have selected lettering that was very plain with straight lines. (I'm sorry the pic is out of focus.)However, I didn't. The other thing posing a problem is the fact that the next row here will be red. When I pick up stitches, I will be using red. Should I be picking up with both colors? Which ones will show?

Beth's SweetKnits: July 2007
http://bethsweetknits.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 27, 2007. Then Mama took a stroll through the flower bed before exiting the yard and heading down the back street. A stop at our trash container was disappointing and she headed to the neighbors, her babies following. She didn't find anything to eat here, and will undoubtedly visit many trash receptacles after ours. It is a pity; how can their numbers increase when their territory and food supply is supposedly decreasing? Why are the big cats in California cities? Well, humans will never stop.

Monday, May 26, 2008. Near Sedona, AZ - Oak Creek Canyon. Was the dirt red, dry, and filled with growing and blooming things. Alan standing near a cactus of some sort. Beautiful! A tree along a path in Oak Creek Canyon - a lovely park. Alan saw some very large trout in here! Cairns everywhere, in the land of the Vortex, of crystals, of mystical thinking. And a tiny creature sunning on a rock. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). To enlarge them; the details are sometimes amazing. When I Need to Escape.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008. At The Grand Canyon. Here are some more pictures from our great cross-country odyssey. This is the observation tower at the Grand Canyon, designed by Mary Jane Colter. It's an amazingly beautiful building. Of course, I stopped to knit! My husband did the picture taking. We had a perfect view from the top of the tower. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beth's SweetKnits: September 2007
http://bethsweetknits.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Just pieces on the floor for now. I have an ever fluctuating vision of this blanket. Each rectangle will be unique; the joining is still. Way up in the air. I am still working on the yellow Baby Cashmerino blanket; only realized a week ago that the baby is more than half-way to birth, but the blanket is not! However, in Book 2: The Purl Stitch. The stitches want to return to the ball from the needles so care is required. At this point,. This blanket is knit by human hands atta...

Thursday, August 16, 2007. Knitting.for the Next Generation. This stunning rainbow belongs to the latest finished Baby Genius Burp Cloth; it was created with Ty-Dy cotton. New to me, it is heavenly soft, and has more subtle shadings than Peaches and Creme. I couldn't resist buying a bunch! My dear retired husband and I took a drive to Brevard, NC last week to see Charlotte's Fibers. Aren't these the prettiest colorways? I have fallen in love with them all! Mom taught me to knit when I was nearly 60 and I...
