Good attendance with a minimum of tardiness and absenteeism is essential if students are to gain maximum benefit from the instructional program and attain high academic achievement. All absences are recorded as excused or unexcused. Excused absences shall be granted by the principal upon proper documentation for th efollowing reasons:. No faxed Doctor Excuses.

The best eduation comes when parents and teachers work together; therefore, parents are encouraged to call the counselor's office (456-3320) any time to arrange conferences with the student's teachers. Conferences can be held before or after school, or during the teacher's planning period. Appointments should be made at least one day ahead of time.

If a parent, guardian, or approved adult is going to pick up the student, he/she is required to come to the office and sign that student out. House shoes are not allowed and shoelaces must be in shoes that require them. Hats, caps, or other headgear, and sunglasses are not worn to school. Skirts and shorts must be near knees in length. All attire will be worn as intended that is belts fastened not hanging in front, suspenders and other clothes properly arranged.
