I am luckily saved by the chance spotting of a voodoo museum in the distance. Voodoo means hokey tourist traps, and tourist traps mean delicious powdered-sugar covered doughnuts. And I'm right! Monday, September 7, 2009. And now for something a little different. In fifteen hours I leave for a very spontaneous trip to New Orleans. The main goals of my trip are to learn a bit of Cajun cooking, wander endlessly through crooked cobbled streets, and to come back with a suitcase full of plastic beads and no firm recollection of how they got there.
