Libby Dibby Stuff: Improv quilt
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2012/10/improv-quilt.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2012. It doesn't yet have a binding on it, but the quilt I started over a year ago in the workshop I took with Denyse Schmidt is finally finished being quilted by hand. I'm usually so much faster in projects, but this one doesn't have a recipient or goal as for now. And I'm slower when I don't know who I am quilting for. I really love it though and can't wait to put the binding on it. I think of this as the stormy collage quilt. looks great. my top is still not fully pieced. For mont...
Libby Dibby Stuff: Wirework Giveaway
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2011/01/wirework-giveaway.html
Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Creating things is how I cope with stress. J has been gone on a trip for work the past 2 days, and you all know that I've mentioned foster care can be a teensy bit stressful. (wink). I am in constant search of things for my hands to do whilst running my day to day circus. Yesterday I was back to wire nests, crosses, and trying out a few other shapes in wire for pendants. So I'm giving you the choice. Nest, cross? Giveaway closes next Tuesday (Jan 18). I decided this was my year...
Libby Dibby Stuff: Collage (Dollar store) candles
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2009/05/collage-dollar-store-candles.html
Saturday, May 9, 2009. Collage (Dollar store) candles. The kids and I made these this morning, while Daddy was catching up on some hard-earned sleep. We took Dollar Store candles, the kind with saints on them. And used ModPodge to secure tiny fabric scraps to them. They look even better than I expected them. Puttin' that one in my back pocket. May 9, 2009 at 9:57 PM. I love these candles! And i love your mother's day matching outfits. May 13, 2009 at 12:30 PM. May 13, 2009 at 1:05 PM. All the best,.
Libby Dibby Stuff: Momen+ (Moment Plus fabric store)
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2010/03/momen.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. Momen (Moment Plus fabric store). Oh wow. My pal, Lauren, told me about a Japanese fabric store. In Olde Torrance (crawling distance from my family's toy design studio). It's blocks from where I grew up, but miles and miles from where I live now in Los Angeles. So I made a special trip to the design studio today,. Visited my dad and sister and left Z for a playdate with some cousins. And off I went to candyland. As I told the shop owner, "this place is SPECIAL! That it usually ta.

http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2015/05/twin-girl-quilts.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Its pretty great to get photos back of the quilts (or art) I send out into the world. Todays photo is of the quilts that a co-designer friend from my days as a textile designer commissioned for twin girls she knows. They are a beautiful addition to this very modern nursery. Libby Dibby Stuff: Teaching collage as Art Therapy - Camp Ronald McDonald
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2015/03/teaching-collage-as-art-therapy-camp.html
Monday, March 9, 2015. Teaching collage as Art Therapy - Camp Ronald McDonald. They loved it and the time went quickly. There were tears and laughter and at the end, I received many hugs and thank yous. If I were able to post the un-cropped versions of these pics, you'd see the huge smiles on their faces. To know I was even a small part of bringing that was really special. I love sharing art with others and these people deserved those moments of joy so much. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Libby Dibby Stuff: New quilts and saying goodby to old habits
http://libbydibbystuff.blogspot.com/2015/03/new-quilts-and-saying-goodby-to-old.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. New quilts and saying goodby to old habits. Lots of sewing. In the past two days, I've dealt with stuff by sewing. It's the old joke that my sewing machine is the one thing in my life that I feel I can truly control. Find a use for me! But I'm tired of that process now. I just need to hold myself to it. Your comments really resonate with me - why am I doing something that I dont enjoy with fabric that I dont like? March 23, 2015 at 10:42 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

How It All Began. August 4, 2015. Headbands, Mustaches, and Astros. My mom got Shiloh some cute felt headbands, so we’ve been trying them out for some brief stints. She doesn’t love headbands, but as long as they aren’t too tight she usually forgets about them and will keep them on for a bit. Except that Coen thinks it’s crazy that she has them on her head so he crawls over and tries to rip them off her head. Then she remembers. They are my adorable hams. July 30, 2015. THOUGHTS ON LIFE - I TAUGHT MYSELF TO DRAW
I TAUGHT MYSELF TO DRAW. By TOM MCCASKIE self taught art. ALL MY WORK SLIDESHOW. Thoughts on life, is a life experience I would like to share, before I go into the detail of what this site is all about. I had the privilege to work together with severely disabled persons whose lives were, physically or psychologically compromised, or both. I would watch in awe as they took very simple tasks and completed them. To watch the frustration, the determination, the anger and finally the utter joy of completion.
