SAY LA VEE: a note regarding flickr
http://www.blackbirdseventeen.com/2015/05/a-note-regarding-flickr.html
May 10, 2015. A note regarding flickr. I thought I'd mention (as I've now spent a day and a half trying to correct the situation) that in unveiling the new features at flickr my entire blog has been, well, fucked. As my entire camera roll got sucked up into the system everything changed in minutes and many or most of the photos in my posts no longer appear on the blog. I've tried the first two or three fixes I could think of and am digging deeper to find the problem. Call K. STAT. Girls of a Certain Age.

SAY LA VEE: 5/17
http://www.blackbirdseventeen.com/2015/05/517.html
May 17, 2015. Our lucky number, 17. On Thursday afternoon K had a meeting in town. Then he went with me to the Spring Preview Party in my office. There was a bake-off and wine and pirogis! Then we walked up to Youngest's school for the Junior Show. Youngest had four pieces exhibited. This one was printed in four layers of acetate. Each layer provided a different set of graphics. This one is made entirely of code. He created a magazine as well - too difficult to photograph. He is 21 today. Jen on the Edge.

SAY LA VEE: updates on several fronts

May 18, 2015. Updates on several fronts. What are the other boys doing? Whilst Youngest finishes up junior year? Oldest has spent the last couple of weeks working as a PA, I guess, helping with a huge week-long, multi-gallery art installation near the city. He schlepped, loaded, hauled and built and is feeling pretty damned good. K spent hoursandhoursandhours competing in an archery tournament and took first in his division. Middle is busy making his mother nervous. It's no big deal, really. How To Run Y...

SAY LA VEE: notes from the commute
http://www.blackbirdseventeen.com/2015/05/notes-from-commute.html
May 9, 2015. Notes from the commute. The weather has been lovely. I do think we'll slide from winter directly into 80 degrees of summer but the mornings have been cool and perfect for walking to the office. Or walking in my neighborhood - I've been walking. I've been wearing my Vans. And, when I remember, I cut down 28th street to see what's blooming. I really wanted some of those lilacs but they were expensive and large and heavy. Later that morning the CEO showed up with these. Green Girl in Wisconsin.

SAY LA VEE: so many photos gone from posts
http://www.blackbirdseventeen.com/2015/05/so-many-photos-gone-from-posts.html
May 10, 2015. So many photos gone from posts. I'm hating flickr right now. All the old code on my photos is different. Most of my old posts no longer have pictures. I don't trust "the process.". For now, in the archived posts, one can only click the blank spot where the photo was to see it. To say I am upset would be grossly understating how I'm feeling. Are you trying to tell me that K couldnt fix this? Now THAT is scary. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Girls of a Certain Age. Green Girl In Wisconsin.

May 20, 2015. Notes from the commute. This suit was standing next to me the other day. It wasn't a very fine suit but the gentleman looked perfectly fine wearing it. Yet, somehow, I was thinking K would look ridiculous in it - and I can't put my finger on why. Youngest and I gave up our seats for a pregnant lady and her husband. Whilst standing, we encountered this fellow. CLIPPING HIS FINGERNAILS ON THE TRAIN. I've been seeing this father and daughter every day, lately. Jen on the Edge. What is NOT ador...
