Just another WordPress.com weblog. May 24, 2010. So – after a few not nice weeks, I thought I’d best update you on a couple of things. Firstly – I have been working at Somerset House as their HR Exec, which is great and I have been working with Petra (also great) at recruiting some new people into her team. She was looking for some events executives to work within the team and we placed advertisements and set up a ton of interviews. Honestly – it speaks volumes about the person you are about to see.

It was discussed that this company were actually going to be getting rid of HR to an external unit. I advised that it used to be quite common that companies would centralise and then de-centralise HR over and over. All too innocently she replied…. But who’s going to do the Holiday Forms? Is that all you think we do?

It appears that depending on where these people are stranded in the world, depends on whether its a good thing or not.
