Saturday, March 29, 2014. I joined a postcard exchange recently and this is the wonderful postcard I received from Jo. The detail on this beetle is amazing and Jo's workmanship is too! Check out Jo's blog at http:/ explorationsinstitch.blogspot.ca/. Links to this post. Links to this post. Here are some pictures of my quilt studio which is my favourite room in my house. Don't you love the spool holder my handy husband made me? Almost looks like a work of art (at least to someone who really likes thread).

Friday, July 11, 2014. Here is the March block of Bertie's Year BOM. And yes, I know it's July. I have almost finished April and am itching to get at June's - so stayed tuned for those coming soon. I just LOVE these blocks as they are so much fun as they all have piecing, applique and embroidery. And here is Ken's Step Back Cabinet that he made for my quilt studio and painted with milk paints to give it an antique kind of look. Isn't he just the handiest fellow! July 11, 2014 at 3:10 PM. Friday, July 11, 2014. Here is Toby in front of some of my amazing philopendulas which I have finally found the right place for and they are sure putting on a pretty show this year. Doesn't Toby look like he's smiling for the camera? I bet Toby smiles a lot. I know I would if I was that cute. July 18, 2014 at 8:07 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Storybook House Quilts: October 2011
http://storybookhousequilts.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 15, 2011. And I can cook too! The past 2 weeks at work I've been the Public Employees Charity Fund canvasser and fundraiser coordinator for my office. Nothing like government service for long-winded titles! On Wednesday, October 5th we had a "Soup Kitchen" and 3 of us brought in our homemade soups to have with buns at a whopping huge donation of $2.00 a bowl! I made my "famous" beef barley soup and it was a hit! There have been several requests for this event to be a weekly occurrence.

http://storybookhousequilts.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 23, 2012. Wow - can it really be over a year since I wrote anything on here? Since then my youngest son Glen married Tessa, my middle son Eric got engaged to Kylie, and my oldest son Scott and his fiancee Amber have been planning their wedding which will be in my neighbour's fabulous garden in July 2013. Phew - how's that for getting busy! All 3 of the girls are wonderful and I'm so lucky to have such daughter-in-laws! My little quilt group "Sassies" ( S. Essions) has undergone quite the...
