March 25, 2008. The joy of submitting to Christ's authority . My heart rejoices in the Lord, my Savior." This is the scripture that Mary used when she became the mother of Christ. Can you say it, too? Even when your life is in turmoil? My Journey: January 2015
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Jan 9, 2015. How to be humble: a guideline to love. I was clearing photos from my Whatsapp - just as we need to do spring cleaning to our homes (and perhaps, offices), I clean up the photos in my phone for extra storage - and this one caught my attention. I thought these 10 points are pretty practical. Listen without interrupting (Prov 18). Speak without accusing (James 1:19). Give without sparing (Prov 21:26). Pray without ceasing (Col 1:9). Answer without arguing (Prov 17:1). Links to this post. And yo...

My Journey: Crucifying the baby Jesus
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2013/12/crucifying-baby-jesus.html
Dec 28, 2013. Crucifying the baby Jesus. Crucifying a little baby. How cruel can that be? One of our Jesuit priests posted this photo on his Facebook with the following remark:. Do you agree with me that crucifying a baby is a bit sick? Most of the people who commented agreed with him. Some said it's a piece of rubbish. Others said it shouldn't be put on sale. But what came to my mind was: if this is sick, then what about abortion? Another commenter said this:. What do you think? View my complete profile.

My Journey: Learning to let go on the feast of Ascension
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2014/05/learning-to-let-go-on-feast-of-ascension.html
May 31, 2014. Learning to let go on the feast of Ascension. Jesus ascending to heaven. Painting by John. Singleton Copley (source: Wikipedia). Have you ever had this fantasy, where Jesus still walks the Earth today – physically, in person? And have you ever imagined the ways you might take just to meet Him? Or, what would you do or say if you chanced upon Him on the street one day? Or maybe, have you ever wished that He did not go back to the Father at all? How long do we have to wait? As I mourned the a...

My Journey: October 2011
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Oct 29, 2011. Have you ever wondered off from your group of friends as you didn't feel like talking or listening to them? Did you have that urge of being left alone while in a crowd sometimes, particularly when you're feeling down? I have. In fact, I do that very often. I would rather be left alone than to feel alone when I'm with a group of people. The latter, some said, is the worst form of loneliness one would experience. 65279;Sometimes, I wish I could see and touch Him. Why not? Links to this post.

My Journey: April 2012
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Apr 17, 2012. Worthwhile, because of Him. Undoubtedly, it was an eye-opening experience. But in return, I was accused of being a disgrace to the team for some ridiculous reasons by the incompetent team leader (I really didn’t mean to judge, but he didn’t do anything and yet claimed all the credit. I've never heard even a word of encouragement from him to our team. Worse still, he’s a Catholic). For all the sacrifices I’ve made, what did I get? Was the trip worthwhile? Definitely a big NO. After the compe...

My Journey: November 2013
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Nov 26, 2013. What I learned from Year of Faith. It feels like just last month that the Year of Faith was launched by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. How very fast that ‘last month’ flies. And in these ‘last months’ we are moving fast towards the end of 2013. Looking back, I realised I didn’t really accomplished anything great in the Year of Faith, sad to say. All the books I planned to finish by the end of 2013 are only half way through. That includes Lumen Fidei. Our archdiocesan newspaper) on the Creed.

My Journey: March 2013
http://audrey-shark.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Mar 18, 2013. Goodbye Pope Benedict, hello Pope Francis. You might be wondering why it has taken me more than a month to pen down my thoughts on the resignation of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Just one reason - I dreaded saying goodbye. It is even more so when I've been so used to Benedict XVI. Eight years of pontificate - that is not a short time! Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. We are joining you in your prayers for the Church and for the new Pope, your successor. Pope Francis - our new Holy Father. Said it...
