This summer the Community Cupboard Garden was established to help provide fresh, home grown, organic vegetables to our clients. We received 105 seedlings of tomatoes, peppers and squash plus 100 packets of seeds. Using the square foot garden method we created twelve, 4’ x 7.5’ gardens and a large compost area. Early June the garden is tilled and planting begun. With a donation of slate we were able to make weed-free pathways between some gardens. Peppers, squash, and cucumbers beginning to take root.
