It is a relatively dry, desert-like region with significant irrigation. The region is inhabited by about 6 million people. The Yellow River flows through a vast area of its land. The Three Gorges Dam in the Yangtze River at Sandouping, a city in the region Yichang, in the southwest of Hubei district, is the largest hydroelectric river dam in the world. Wudang mountains, nanyan gong. Monday, March 26, 2007. Welcome at Nanyan Gong. The Nanyan Temple at the region Shiyan. The whole structure of the terrific Nanyan Gong, in the Wudang Mountains, beams, hall-pillars, arches, gates and windows, is created out of rock. Nanyan Temple is considered the most spectacular of Wudangshan’s three famous temples, the other two being the Purple Cloud Temple (Zixiao gong) and the Golden Hall (Jindian).
