Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Earlier this month we took a spring break trip to California for my cousin's wedding. While we were there, we spent a couple days at the beach in San Clemente. Alice made a friend and did some serious sand castle building. Louis loved playing in the waves. Hector, getting some sun. Alex and Florian taking Louis for a walk on the beach. Wednesday, December 21, 2016. We had a fun and laid-back Thanksgiving this year. My parents came up to visit for the weekend and Aunt Angie and Brooke came over for dinner. Here's Alice looking super cute and fancy. Louis and Grandpa Brian played some surprisingly competitive chess. Louis gave him a run for his money, but Grandpa came out on top. Alice and her cousin. Alice and her aunt. Hector and his niece. Me and my turkey. The kids were so excited to eat, they couldn't even wait for the rest of us.

Monday, September 19, 2016. Tide Pools at Camp Clark. One of the coolest things about cub scout camp was the fact that the camp was right next to one of two private beaches along the Oregon coast. One of the field trips we went on was a walk down to the tide pool at low tide. We saw some sea anemones, hermit crabs, and regular crabs. Louis was a little nervous walking on the rocks because they were very slippery. Louis also thought that the beach was a pretty good place to read. Tide Pools at Camp Clark.

Wednesday, November 2, 2016. In October we went with one of Louis' friends from Cub Scouts to a pumpkin patch. It was a little cold and muddy, but the kids were troopers. Here's Louis and his friend Danny. Alice in front of the hay bale maze. Tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. So many to chose from. Everyone had to carry their own pumpkins. Alice picked a reasonably sized one. Louis picked the biggest one he could carry. Danny and Louis being sunflowers. Hector and Alice being sunflowers.
