As I sometimes review restaurants incognito, I'll offer this picture of me taken by my violin teacher's husband when I was about nine years old. Tom Steele wrote Burgers. With Rebecca Bent (Clarkson Potter, 2004), a collection of gourmet burger recipes, including a dozen provided by such celebrity chefs as Bobby Flay, Bill Telepan, and David Waltuck. He collaborated with chef Patricia Yeo to write Everyday Asian. St Martins Press, 2005), and with chef Jonathan Waxman to create A Great American Cook.
