And it had all the bitter notes you'd expect from a chunk of liver. The duck prosciutto was great though. Didn't know you could make prosciutto out of duck. The Book of David. September 25th, 2010. Thanks to PGY1 residency, I have made Charlottesville my home. And its nice here. People are polite and and friendly, which is a welcome departure from the general bitterness of Richmond. That and parking is ample. And holy crap, there are trees. I like trees. My first conversation with a complete stranger probably went something like:. Me: YOU CAN'T HAVE MY MONEY! Some habits are hard to break. The view from my apartment. Martha Jefferson Hospital, my second home.

The Book of David. Food: Jinx's Pit's Top Barbeque. January 16th, 2011. This was a food mission request from Judy and Amit. Jinx's is a small hole in the wall barbecue joint on E. Market Street in Charlottesville and has some really good reviews, most notably from Maxim Magazine. Who would have thought? His good sized grill. Jinx's basically looks like a small, not particularly well kept home. Inside was littered with old memorabilia, like the old school pepsi logo and VHS tapes(? Jinx preparing my lunch.
