Saturday, August 8th, 2009. John Lawrence Geary successfully broke the Guiness World Record for. Most Hugs Given Out By One Person In A 24-Hour Period". Coming in at 5,050 hugs in a fund raising effort for Friends of The Chicago River. Saturday was a great success! And play with my bands 'WET’, ‘Rachele Eve’ and ‘The Village Green’. My world record attempt is made in partnership with Friends of The Chicago River, a non-for-profit organization who’s programs work to improve the health of the Chicago river.
