http://dallasyates.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-dad-and-love.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. My Dad and Love. It is now 2013 and I think I am finally ready to write this post and get back into blogging. We have some catching up to do on this blog. We lost my Dad very unexpectedly in August and life has been different since. This Friday is his birthday and as I reflect on the last 5 months I realize that I have learned a lot about life and love and loss. I know this because I saw signs of my Dad’s love everywhere, and it still carries me through. The weeks before Dad ...

Shindell Stories: December 2010
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. 9 month well check! Jack had his 9 month well-check! 21lbs, 13 oz ( 50-75%). His weight has dropped in the percentile rankings, which the pediatrician said is most likely due to his inch-worm crawling, and just being more active. Totally normal! 30 1/2 inches (off the charts still). So it appears we have a long, lean baby! His absolute favorite is, yogurt! Put yogurt with anything and he will eat it up. Another "A- plus" well-check! Tuesday, December 28, 2010. The first gift&...

Shindell Stories: 16 Months & More milestones!
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2011/08/16-months-more-milestones.html
Friday, August 5, 2011. 16 Months and More milestones! Our sweet little Jack man is now 16 months! He is no longer eating any pureed food, and he let us know very clearly that he was "donezo" with it! One day during lunch he decided to throw his food from the dish it was in onto the table and didn't want to eat any of his pureed food. So I decided to heat up some other solid food, and he went to town on it! We have already booked a family session with him, and I am so excited to see what we get! View my ...

Shindell Stories: September 2010
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2010. Soon to be six months! Here are some updates on what has been going on in our home! Jack will be turning six months in a week. I can't believe that this sweet little boy has been in our life half a year. I also can't believe that in another six months, Jack will be ONE year old. Where has the time gone? Oh yeah. We had a baby! I still don't think that it has set in that the one thing we have wanted for so long is really here, a baby! Or that we have had him this long! CAUTIO...

Shindell Stories: March 2011
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. On March 18th Jack got his first hair cut. I use the word first loosely because Jack has had a few very small trims here at home. This was his first true, all out, professional hair cut! I had been searching for a place for awhile as I found out that the guy I go to does not feel comfortable cutting kids hair. As he put it, "they tend to move around a lot", and he was very worried that with his very sharp scissors he might cut Jack. Getting relaxed in the chair. Such a big boy!

Shindell Stories: July 2011
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 15, 2011. HOT, HOT, HOT! Do you think it could get any hotter outside? Lately I have defiantly had to pull some creative ideas out for new morning and afternoon actives. Jack used to play outside in the morning, but lately it has been so darn hot, that it has been impossible. So, what have we been up to? The pool, the Splash pad, indoor play-dates, of course Gymboree, and anything else we can think of indoors! Aunt Katy came to play with us at Gymboree! Crashed out with daddy! HOT, HOT, HOT!

Shindell Stories: 18 months!
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2011/10/18-months.html
Sunday, October 9, 2011. So much has happen over the last two months, where to start? We recently had family pictures taken, finally! We met two young college students at our neighbors sons birthday party who have started a photography business. After viewing the pictures they took of Jack at the party I knew we could get some really great photos of our family with them! And I love the way they turned out! The weather was cool with the highs in the low 70's and, the city has many attractions for kids ...

Shindell Stories: February 2011
http://shindellstories.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 20, 2011. Jack on his new big boy bed! Playing with daddy before bed time! Little Mr. Independent! Jack is now very much into exploring, and REALLY wants to figure things out all by himself! At times I will see him struggle a little to reach a book, or move form one piece of furniture to the next while cruising. If I go into help he is sure to let me know, he does NOT need it! I'm sure by the title of this blog you are probably thinking, um ya, no kidding! Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
