Whenever you come to a Hull Red event, make sure you get there and back safely! Before you go out…. Where you are going, how to get there and how to get home again. Where you are going and when you will be back. How much money you will need. When you are out…. Find out the times of the bus you need to get there and back again. If you can, travel with friends or someone you know. Write down the bus numbers and times to take with you. Book a taxi by phone or by going to the taxi office.

The BIG GIG was an inclusive friendly festival organised by Red. It brought the best of Hull’s music scene and some amazing family friendly activities for people of any ability together for a full day of fun. Hull Red started in 2005 running a nightclub for adults (18 ) with learning disabilities to enable them to go out and meet friends in the evening, listen to live music, make new friends, build social networks, form relationships and have fun. The first night in November 2005 was attended by 278 people. Since then Red has become a regular fixture, running 4 times each year with themed nights for special occasions like Valentines Day, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day and of course, Christmas. Record of the week. Photography, like this. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. I party at Red. On Thursday. My favourite nightclub ever. This place is fantastic, I always have a great time shooting and a great time full stop - the atmosphere is guaranteed to put a smile on my face (even when I am tired and grumpy*). My aim at Red is to capture the atmosphere of the party, to see everyone lost in the music and the lights, to share the moment these people are enjoying. It is so cool to be there with my friends too.
