Breathing, pollution, health, noise…. It's about the kind of city we want to live in. Human Streets : Progress requires action. November 1, 2016. November 15, 2016. Posted in Cycle Super Highways. Former Cycling Commissioner for London, writes:. I’ve thought it for a while, but now it’s in the open. Even as two cyclists in a week are killed on London’s roads, it looks like there’s a campaign to roll back the progress London’s made in cycling and reclaim space for the car. If you wondered how pollution ca...

Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Nine: 's-Hertogenbosch to Nijmegen
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/11/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_3.html
Thursday, 17 November 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Nine: 's-Hertogenbosch to Nijmegen. I'd clocked up many miles (or kilometres, if you like) on the bike so far on this trip. Not just riding between cities as detailed on here but cycling within those cities as well, trying to cram in as much cycle track tourism as I could whilst I had the chance. I took a well earned rest for a few hours after arriving in 's-Hertogenbosch before Mark Wagenbuur. And, knowing I would be passing cl...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part One: Hook of Holland to Rotterdam
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/01/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_11.html
Monday, 11 January 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part One: Hook of Holland to Rotterdam. If you've ever been on a cycling trip to the Netherlands then chances are that you'll have passed through The Hook of Holland. Or Hoek Van Holland to give it its Dutch name. You don't even need to leave the port itself before you access a traffic free cycle route; just cross straight over the railway track and onto a cycle track alongside the ferry port. Although the road lead to a dead end so is ...
Hackney cyclist: July 2016
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 8 July 2016. Picture Post: 30 minutes outside Nijmegen station in the rain. A week ago I stood outside Nijmegen station. For around ten minutes, with a broken bike, taking pictures of people cycling. I then went into the bike maintenance area in the large bike parking lot under the station to get it fixed and then stood outside again taking more pictures as I realised I would not have a bike for the rest of the day. Hackney cyclist: February 2016
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 16 February 2016. Converting roundabouts into crossroads. Last year The Times newspaper published a map of the most dangerous road junctions. This was despite it repeatedly being pointed out to him that this section is actually not segregated. At all and had been widely criticised after the CS2 extension was opened by both cycle campaigners. And the London Cycling Campaign. With nearly £600,000 spent doing so in 2011. Before and after images from google earth. With the local tenants association ...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Seven: Breda to Eindhoven via Tilburg
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/11/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands.html
Tuesday, 15 November 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Seven: Breda to Eindhoven via Tilburg. Following a couple of hours of cycling aimlessly around Breda on a Monday morning, just heading in random directions to see what it was like, I began my journey east out of the city on one of the main roads, which had bi-directional cycle tracks. Along both sides of it. As I approached the river which circles the city I turned left onto a filtered road. The residential properties suddenly ga...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Five: Amsterdam to Hook of Holland via The Hague
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/01/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_19.html
Tuesday, 19 January 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Five: Amsterdam to Hook of Holland via The Hague. I spent the first two hours of Monday morning enjoying cycling on very busy roads. Following the rush hour I stopped off for breakfast and to buy some clogs, magnets and other crappy tourist gifts for people back home from the Albert Cuyp market. Going about their day, mostly on bikes. I crossed over Amstelveenseweg. Along a bicycle road. In three locations in order to create space...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Eight: Eindhoven to 's-Hertogenbosch
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/11/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_86.html
Wednesday, 16 November 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Eight: Eindhoven to 's-Hertogenbosch. All main roads had cycle tracks of course, along with other cycle only routes, such as the Dommel "silly walks" tunnel. This tunnel is an unusual and interesting place to visit but more importantly it is a well used cycling and walking only route under the railway lines which links the University on one side, with its own network of cycle tracks. Following the morning rush I looked at pictu...
Hackney cyclist: Hoxton area cycle route improvements
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/11/hoxton-area-cycle-route-improvements.html
Monday, 28 November 2016. Hoxton area cycle route improvements. Hackney Council are currently consulting. On 'Hoxton Area cycle route improvements' to "improve the area for cycling and walking along the Central London cycle grid". The biggest change is the closure of both Poole Street and Eagle Wharf Road to motor traffic:. Even when physical closures are put in place some drivers will still try to find a way around them. 8212; James Davie (@jdavie) November 2, 2016. There wouldn't need to be four separa...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Three: Gouda to Utrecht
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/01/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_13.html
Wednesday, 13 January 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Three: Gouda to Utrecht. This was clearly an old road and couldn't be widened to create wide cycle tracks along with pavements and a buffer zone but safe conditions had been found by simply utilising the space available more appropriately. At times there was just a slab of kerb. A typical rural A road in North Wales with wasted space alongside. I've cycled along this busy road many times; always an unpleasant experience. This la...
Hackney cyclist: Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Four: Utrecht to Amsterdam
http://hackneycyclist.blogspot.com/2016/01/cycling-between-cities-in-netherlands_15.html
Friday, 15 January 2016. Cycling between cities in the Netherlands - Part Four: Utrecht to Amsterdam. I'd been in Utrecht for nearly 48 hours and had seen some truly extraordinary infrastructure projects and cycled on some marvelous routes. It had been quite a sight to see the remains of a motorway which, at the time, was being turned into a canal ( now partially complete. The huge amount of cycle parking at the train station. Including children of a very young age, safely separated from buses. I'd cycle...

Human Strength Project Blog. Promoting Faith In Humanity. I’m taking an English composition class right now, and I thought it might be a good idea to share an essay that I had just written for class. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to post essays from this class on here, but I feel as if this one is relevant to HSP. Here it is:. A Path Was Illuminated. What’s The Big Idea? What IS the big idea? Or, more appropriately, what ARE big ideas? Big ideas, as I will be discussing them in this post, are reflections...

Tetapi, Indahnya warna itu sudah lama tak terlihat. Semuanya mengalirkan air mata karena. Melihat terangnya warna kupu-kupu itu. Membuat semuanya ikut senang.
