Jenny R Johnson Sketchbook: Leaps and Bounds
http://jennyrjohnson.blogspot.com/2009/06/leaps-and-bounds.html
Monday, June 22, 2009. So the website is coming along really well and really quickly now- I'm almost at the point where I can leave it be and get back to painting for a while. once again I've started a piece and haven't been back to it in a few days, and it's sitting on my easel taunting me. Sell a painting yesterday out of the blue, which makes me feel like I'm getting something accomplished! Jenny R. Johnson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Back to My Website. Jenny R. Johnson. July 25, 2009 at 8:13 am Posted in food. So last weekend, i went camping. seems the last time jon and i actually camped was in 2007, when we rented a tandem and biked from waterloo to the elora gorge. Which was a pretty crazy adventure in itself. this outing was much less hardcore. 1) we had the enormous tent (it is crazy easy to set up, but doesn’t exactly fit in a bob trailer on the back of a bike. 2) we had not one but two stoves to make supper on. a real backpacking stove. And a table top coleman.

April 18, 2009 at 7:12 am Posted in plans. This is the first weekend of a series of 7, each with something big scheduled. this terrifies me a little because my favorite weekends are those wide open ones where we can just chill and enjoy the beautiful weather. i feel like there’s a giant metal ball tumbling down the hill and there’s nothing i can do to get out of it’s way. luckily it’s mostly fun stuff:. This weekend – bike race! Next weekend – another bike race! May 10 – bike race! Are you tired yet?

Thursday, July 7, 2011. When you get home from a trip what do you do first? A) unpack. take your liquids out of all those plastic bags. hoping nothing leaked. B) call people and tell them all about it. C) sit in silence and dont talk to anybody (processing time). D) get groceries so that you have something in your house to eat,. E) do all that laundry. I just got back from a 10 day family trip to miami and the keys. I chose to sit in front of my air conditioner and then went on a walk. I like to ease in.

Too bad this is taper week for me because that looks like some awesome running weather. oh well. race day (sunday) looks fab, so i’m keeping my fingers crossed that nothing big changes. i’m not a big fan of downpours. This past weekend was adventure weekend #5 in a series of 9. The countdown was exciting! 36 laps over 24 hours = lots of fun and lots of super tired/sore muscles! This kid is TEH CUTEST EVAR. he rode with his mom and...

A week and a half ago, i ran the first half marathon of the season, in ottawa. it was ok. the first 2/3 were awesome and i was fast! 14 weeks till my next race. you can bet there will be a lot of speedwork and a lot of hills between now and then! And i’m jammin’. August 11, 2009 at 7:48 pm Posted in food. So i’m back! But more on that later. first things first. Jam in my profile. I mentioned that last year, i started experimenting with jams and preserves. i went a little wild (my cold store had a ginormous shelf, covered with half pint jars, lined up like colourful, fruity soldiers) but it was a success. everyone got a jar at christmas and now my friends and family keep asking for more! And boil and boil. Wrinkle test. put a white plate in th...
