Monday, July 16, 2007. Home, yet lost. I'm on my bed in my parent's house surrounded by the familiarity of my teenage years and beyond. I'm home, but I'm at a loss for what to do next. I've been dealing with immense changes over the past three days, grasping for phantom limbs, things I've suddenly lost in the dark. I didn't know leaving Hungary this year would knock me off my feet. It has and I'm on the floor struggling like a fish out of water. I'm living in Budapest since January and i'm from Brazil.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Ms Meanhead Day Two. I'm halfway through Tuesday lessons and I'm trying to keep up my meanstreak where it's due. My first lesson was nice and the kids liked my review game, so in turn I my head spiraled 180 degrees to Ms. Niceface. We accomplished a lot and even had time for an activity at the end. Fashion. And I don't usually like to feel sorry for myself, but contracting mono in a foreign country when your contact teacher doesn't seem overly enthused to help you navigate the Hungarian medical system, makes my feelings of self-pity become a little bit more valid than usual. Monday, June 18, 2007. And I'm still in the school, because I live here, but I'm not teaching! It's finally summer holiday here in Hungary for most primary schools.
