A Taste of Spain. Stories from a food-lover's semester abroad. Monday, June 27, 2011. Sometimes, what you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands. My first weekend home included the 21st birthday celebration of my sweet friend Shelby, which was a wonderful night for all of us! UAB is in the top 5% of nursing schools, so I'll be getting a great education in a city that I do love and have always considered home. Now comes the time to order books, scrubs, lab coats, and stethoscopes! I'm an...

A Taste of Spain. Stories from a food-lover's semester abroad. Monday, January 31, 2011. Just Another Day in Paradise. I really enjoyed my first weekend in Granada! On Friday evening, a bunch of students I am studying abroad with decided to truly embrace the European spirit and go clubbing at a disco! And stayed until.about 5:30 AM. I know.this does not happen in America! People in Europe stay out until 6 or 7 AM every weekend! Everyday the city seems to make a little more sense though! Sunday was spent ...

A Taste of Spain. Stories from a food-lover's semester abroad. Monday, May 16, 2011. Let Them Eat Cake. So much has happened since I last wrote. I recovered from my weekend at the beach by doing 2 final presentations, which both went really well. I am just glad they are over! We are all getting geared up for finals, which start this Thursday. I think it is pretty unfortunate that finals come at the same time as our last week here.too much to do, not enough time! So thanks, Hunter for an amazing weekend!

A Taste of Spain. Stories from a food-lover's semester abroad. Sunday, April 24, 2011. I know you've all been anxiously awaiting my entry about Scotland (ok, maybe not.), but before I start that, I'm going to tell you a joke that I learned from one of our tour guides in Ireland. I meant to put it in my last post but forgot! The Guinness man looks back at them and says, "Well since you aren't, I won't.". Hope that made yall chuckle a little! Now, onto our journey in Scotland! We made one more stop where I...
