Stuff About Stuff, Oh And Bike Stuff Too. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Time to get my blog on! Its been a while and much has happened and is happening. So lets get into it. I am sure I am not the first to link up to this hoopla, but its definitely the new greatest show on earth. Sactown won't know what hit it when thousands of bike nerds land in its perimeters. There are many folks and builders I am looking forward to linking up with and checking out. Some of my fav's but certainly not limited to:.

The ramblings of a bicycle mechanic. Friday, October 26, 2007. I was a very bad boy today, I re-cabled and housed Stella's bike and wanted to test ride it. Todays photo stolen from Jon Suzuki. But I haven't got the new helmet I ordered yet. So I went on a 2 hour ride anyway. That's right Helmet Nazi’s, no brain bucket, sans lid, no dome, Pas de Casque. It was nice, really nice, not being burdened by the mandatory Styrofoam dunce cap. The one thing you can say about Hairnets is that they are biodegradable.

For all my friends. Cause you asked for it - uh, do you still want it? Sunday, January 27, 2008. My Life Kicks Ass. Saturday started with some ass kickin' yoga. Don't let the peace and spiritual orientation of the website fool you. The class is edifying and calming, before and after you stand on your head and commit other acts of wild contortion. But, of course, that wasn't enough. I had to ride. I busted out the old hardtail and headed for the muddy hills. I was so in the flow, I got lost at one interse...

Torx Upgrade Kit for Sliding Dropouts. Ahrens Bicycles is now offering a Torx upgrade kit for our sliding dropouts. The upgrade kit replaces the (4) M8x20 Pan Head/Socket mounting screws with (4) M8x20 Pan Head/Torx mounting screws. Why? Because Torx screws have much larger surface area at the head for improved load spreading. Local racer and 324 LABS business partner 'Timmy C' requested this upgrade since he races a Rock Lobster 'cross frame with sliding dropouts (and disc brakes with 324 Labs adapters!

2016 blog.peterlombardi.com. Theme by Anders Norén. Sim Works Caroline stem for the Strong…. Today the mailman was kind enough to bring me the Strong’s new stem and spacers, a gorgeous fillet brazed steel Sim Works Caroline stem made by Nitto in Japan. the spacers are also made by Sim Works and match the stem great! They’re actually the nicest, thinnest steel spacers I’ve seen! The stem is an awesome combination of 1 1/8″ on the steerer end and also being for 31.8 bars! I got it from Hunter Cycles.
