Which hat am I wearing today? April 4, 2016. I visited Brandon Marsh in Warwickshire last week, a wonderful site owned by The Wildlife Trusts. My reason for being there was to give a photography lesson, but I couldn’t resist taking some shots myself of a pair of Little Grebes showing well in front of the hide. Not far to travel for me this evening, I’ll be giving an illustrated lecture at Wythall Library to ‘Wythall and Hollywood Ladies Group’. Shetland to Scilly, the Birds of the British Isles is the title and to go with my pictures, will be my usual witty banter, so we should have an entertaining evening. Which hat am I wearing today? British Birds magazine, Bird Photographer of the Year 2015. August 3, 2015. Well this was the year after 10 years of Wildlife Photography, that I finally got around to entering a competition, the British Birds Magazine, Bird Photographer of the year. I entered two images, one of which, the Hoopoe image below came 15th, so I guess I should be pleased with that, although I always like to win anything I enter, so the lesson is, I must try harder next year.
