Boat storage on the Huntingdon County Fairgrounds is close, convenient and easy. It is only a mile outside of Huntingdon on Fairgrounds Road, about 5 minutes from Raystown Lake and about 30 miles from Altoona, Lewistown and State College. October through April 15. Boats not removed by April 16 will pay an additional rental of $2.00 a day.). Boats and campers stored in secured buildings - $8.00 per foot. Register & Recorder. Huntingdon County was established on the 20th day of September 1787. It had been created out of Bedford County, which in turn had been part of Cumberland County. Land taken from Huntingdon County to form parts of Centre and Cambria Counties reduced the size of Huntingdon County, and on February 26, 1846, with the creation of Blair County from a portion of Huntingdon County, the present boundaries of the County were established.
