Back to the beach after Ike. Friday, June 24, 2011. They are tearing down the cement pillars on the beach! As long as I have been coming to this part of the TExas Coast, there were cement pillars about 2 miles from our condo - I walk to them and come back and know I walked four miles. I noticed today they are taking them down. A Big truck just went by with some of them on the back. Here are some photos I took the other day when I walked down there -. Yesterday I walked to the house that is almost in the water and back ( about 8 miles I think) and then today I took Oreo to the bay. He got in and started swimming around. I may take him again tomorrow. Friday, June 24, 2011. They are tearing down the cement pillars on the beach! Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Lots of seaweed . . . The boys love fishing and have been catching speckled trout, some flounder but there is a warning about fish in Galveston Bay - they say to only eat 8 ounces, so I have not ate any but the rest of the gang is eating it.
