Now, the default heap is usually binary, but that doesn’t mean that other heaps with different branching patterns don’t exist. In fact, heaps with three, four, or even more branches exist in the real world. So, if that’s true, why the hell did we settle with binary heaps? So make note of it. The branching factor is discussed below.
