Today I did manage to get some done and managed 6:30 without packing. Not bad! But I can tell I was close to my limit. You see, I proceeded to do dynamic and felt really good from the start. Perhaps, because I didn't depleat my self with tons of static warmups. I did a couple of 50s and they were so easy, I called a 75-100 for the buddy. And for the first time in my life, I actually reached that 100, with air to spare. Very cool indeed. Which is good, considering the amount of concentration and time I had to prepare. For warmups I did 3:30 and 5:00, about 30 contraction each. Then, 7:00 (5:00/50). I clearly hyperventilated too much, since the first contraction was that late and I was very blue in the end (or so I'm told). But still, routine 7, must be happy. Posted by jome @ 7:39 PM. One freediver's journey to personal limits. Current status: pb(dry) 8:15 pb(wet) 7:34. Wednesday, November 02, 2005. Made it to 2:28/100 today. Not huge leaps, but still clear progress. I did the first dive in 2:02/100. This was with very little packing and I had problems with my balance. For the next one I packed relatively full and managed to dive slowly all the way. This was very close to samba though, it will be interesting to see if I can still increase. Posted by jome @ 9:28 PM. As to be expected.

Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Hypoxia refers to low oxygen conditions. Normally 20.9% of the gas in the atmosphere is oxygen. The partial pressure of oxygen in the atmosphere is 20.9% of the total barometric pressure. In water however; oxygen levels are much lower, approximately 1%, and fluctuate locally depending on the presence of photosynthetic organisms and relative distance to the surface.
