18 March 2010 Visas: Libya? Rien ne va plus! End of the game. But unfortunately none of us receive positive reply from them. Even more the Libyan authorities are declaring officially that no way that a Schengen country can get the visa to enter the territories of Libya. We are very said as it seems we are paying the price for those political games in which we have never been involved. We still can get the Algerian visa! 17 March 2010 The final move. Gondwanateam leads the convoy and the 3 other cars are following us. In our convoy we have 4 cars with 4 nationalities. 4 Hungarians, 1 Bosnian, 3 Polishs and 2 Latvians. These 2 teams barely speak English or other languages but we manage to communicate. The Latvians are also tough guys. They’d driven to Mongolia back and forth all alone. We stop in Gabes, and find a nice hotel to stay. No internet access though but we are going to discover the town.

Este tizenegyre nyilvánvalóvá vált, hogy az eredeti elképzelésünk, miszerint hajnal egykor beülünk a kocsiba és elindulunk Budapestről Tuniszba, teljességgel megvalósíthatatlan. Sorban zárják le a szóba jöhető autópályákat, M7, M1 Fejér megye összes útja. A hírekben elakadt autók, tömeg balesetek jelentik a fő hírt, meg persze az évszázad hóvihara. Jakob, a dán barátunk teljes lelkesedéssel nyitogatja a söröket a Sousse-i szálloda erkélyén, tekintet nélkül arra a tényre, hogy 52 órája indultunk el otthonról, és azóta leszámítva egy két órányi szendergés a hajó büféasztala alatt, nem volt módunkban pihenni. Mindegy, veszett fejsze nyele, mert már amúgy is hajnali fél öt. Végül - csakhogy a szállodai személyzetet ne hagyjuk munka nélkül - elrontjuk a bevetett ágyakat. Gondwanateam, 2013/04/10 - 16:19.

19 March 2010 Night in the Sahara. After all the disappointing things happened to us, we turned towards South to explore the desert at least. We have spent a splendid night there in-between the dunes. After breakfast the teams agree not to leave Tunisia behind unless going to its desert. We reorganise ourselves and Gondwanateam takes the lead to arrange everything. We drive back to Douz in a convoy, where we can get permission from Tunisian authorities to enter the desert from their side. But our Latvian...

13 March 2010 Attempt to get to Tunis (magyarul is! The bells of the neighboring church are ringing enormously loud at 7am. No need to say we are awake like a smashed potato. We get a quick shower and have a rich breakfast. When we can enter the ship (of course bureaucracy again) we get our cabin and we discover the boat. A restaurant and a bar wait for the people to come. Not everybody booked cabins so they are hanging around or sleeping on the floors. Not a pleasant view. We are sleepy ...Around 6pm we...
