If you wish to take part in the scheme, please complete the Registration Form. And send it, together with a cheque for £40 to the address shown on the form. The £40 fee covers both registration and the first one-hour driving lesson and subsequent lessons will cost £25 per hour. Lessons take place once each month and, subject to availability, it may be possible to book two hourly sessions should you wish to.

Do you know anyone who is under the age of 17 years and who would like to start driving lessons? We have provide 15 and 16 year olds with professional tuition from DSA Approved Driving Instructors in dual control cars to help them develop car handling skills on a network of private roads. Priority will be given to 16 year olds, but places will be allocated to 15 year olds if vacancies permit. Lessons are arranged on the 3rd Sunday of each month on private land at Earls Colne Business Park.

Getting to the Young Driver Scheme. Driving lessons take place at the Earls Colne Business Park. This is located off the B1024 Coggeshall to Earls Colne Road. The A120 runs between the A12 and Braintree. About mid way between these two, at Coggeshall, there is a B1024 intersection. Please follow the B1024 towards Earls Colne for 2.3 miles. About the Young Driver Scheme. The scheme is operated all year on the third Sunday of the month. See calendar. In order to take part in this scheme, participants must be at least 15 years of age, (please note that priority will be given to 16 year olds) and all applications will be placed in birth date order and they must be able to physically reach the controls of the vehicle. Any disability must be declared, but this information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
