January 1, 2013. I woke up today to the howl of my dog, Ompong. I went out to check on him, but there was nothing. Our neighborhood was very quiet and all I heard was birds chirping. Perhaps, it was Ompong’s way of greeting us a Happy New Year. Everyday was not perfect. There were problems at work and arguments at home. Everyday was a struggle, but it was also an opportunity to make things better. Nothing spectacular happened in 2012, but everyday was special because I spent it with the people I love.
