Life update… | The Sisyphean Task
https://scepticaemia.wordpress.com/2012/12/08/life-update
December 8, 2012. Since hating Telstra in January, I’ve come to an accommodation and grudgingly accept that despite their overblown prices and disregard for any form of customer service, their mobile phone coverage is the best and I’ve had no drop outs since switching to them. I’ll finally be able to stop saying I’m being paid less than the national average. And now we’re thinking we’ll buy the best location with the shittiest house and worry about the rebuild later. Confused? Think we’re crazy? We neede...

Our Tuscan Garden: May 2008
http://ourtuscangarden.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
We bought our apartment in a Tuscan hill town because it had a generous, but long neglected, terraced garden. This is a largely pictorial story of our garden's evolution. Sunday, May 25, 2008. Greetings from The Gardener. AKA HWADATFW. That's He Who Actually Does All The Freakin' Work. I thought it was a good idea to establish something at the outset of this blog. It's my firm, long-held belief that there is a place for flowers. In someone else's garden. Now you see one:. Saturday, May 17, 2008. We are s...

When too much Basilico isn't enough. Last year, with a poultice of basil in the garden and winter rapidly approaching, L'Artista. Kept promising to do something about it. No sense letting lovely fresh basil go to waste. No Sirrrrrreeeeee, Roberto. This year, I've taken charge:. Go you good thing, Pesto. Garde...

January 28, 2012. Now, I don’t really care about getting an iPhone or Android or any sort of smartphone for that matter. I have survived this long without one, I will be fine with my current phone but if I have to pay more for a contract, I might as well upgrade the phone. In the meantime, my registrar has asked why he can’t call me and when I’m changing my phone. From → Sydney. Larr; Endings, Beginnings and Tiger Mums. Life update… →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. We bought our apartment in a Tuscan hill town because it had a generous, but long neglected, terraced garden. This is a largely pictorial story of our garden's evolution. Sunday, December 28, 2008. That single solitary Kent pumpkin. The paltry end result of three vines producing a zillion male flowers and only one female flower over an entire summer? It sacrificed itself in a very good cause - lunch on Christmas Day:. And it was scrummy. Nothing roasts as wonderfully as a Kent pumpkin. As does the garlic:.

We bought our apartment in a Tuscan hill town because it had a generous, but long neglected, terraced garden. This is a largely pictorial story of our garden's evolution. Wednesday, June 11, 2008. A brief digression from the history of this garden on the basis that re-living the hernias and broken back involved in restoring the thing has caused me to come over quite faint. Which is to say, tomatoes, are going to feature quite heavily here. Why? My particular preoccupation is with heirloom tomatoes. It's ...
